Speakers, Programs, and Training Sessions:

Thursday, February 13, 2003 -- Maury Thompson from the Post Star was our first speaker, and spoke about Media and Unions.

Our second set of speakers were from the Green Party, and spoke of some of the common objectives shared with Labor.

Thursday, March 13, 2003 -- Although the snowstorm had kept the first speaker from coming, fortunately Prairie Wells from CDALF had made it and discussed CDALF and their new facilities.

Thursday, April 10, 2003 at 6:30! -- Our Speaker was Harold Eisenstein, a lawyer from the Public Employees Federation who practices both Taylor Law and NLRB forums. He discussed the NLRB, and used what occurred at Finch Pruyn, the strike and the delays currently being encountered vis-à-vis the Complaint the Unions have filed as examples of what to expect to have to deal with during disputes.

Thursday, May 8, 2003 at 7:00 PM again. --     Our first speaker was Mr. Jonathan Rosen, the Director of Health and Safety for PEF, and our second speaker was Gordon McClelland from Cornell Labor Programs.

Thursday, June 12, 2003 -- Mr. Greg Georgio from the International Workers of the World, also known as the IWW, was the first speaker. Nicknamed the Wobblies, they were formed at the turn of the last century as a reaction against craft Unionism and the AFL conservative policies regarding labor. The IWW believed in organizing ALL workers regardless of craft, sex, race, or religion.

    July and August, 2003 --
Summer Recess

Thursday, September 11, 2003 -- Besides the usual business, the Meeting concentrated on the upcoming political season and elections.

Wednesday and Thursday, October 8th and 9th, 2003 -- Two Annual Candidates' Nights were held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, and before Thursday's Meeting, and our endorsements were made.
