Speakers, Programs, and Training Sessions:
Thursday, February 13, 2003 -- Maury Thompson from the Post Star was our first speaker, and spoke about
Media and Unions.
Our second set of speakers were from the Green Party, and spoke of some of the common objectives shared with
Labor.
Thursday, March 13, 2003 -- Although the snowstorm had kept the first speaker from coming, fortunately
Prairie Wells from CDALF had made it and discussed CDALF and their new facilities.
Thursday, April 10, 2003 at 6:30! -- Our Speaker was Harold Eisenstein, a lawyer from the Public Employees
Federation who practices both Taylor Law and NLRB forums. He discussed the NLRB, and used what occurred at Finch Pruyn, the
strike and the delays currently being encountered vis-à-vis the Complaint the Unions have filed as examples of what to expect
to have to deal with during disputes.
Thursday, May 8, 2003 at 7:00 PM again. -- Our first speaker was Mr. Jonathan Rosen,
the Director of Health and Safety for PEF, and our second speaker was Gordon McClelland from Cornell Labor Programs.
Thursday, June 12, 2003 -- Mr. Greg Georgio from the International Workers of the World, also
known as the IWW, was the first speaker. Nicknamed the Wobblies, they were formed at the turn of the last century as a reaction
against craft Unionism and the AFL conservative policies regarding labor. The IWW believed in organizing ALL workers regardless
of craft, sex, race, or religion.

Thursday, September 11, 2003 --
Besides the usual business, the Meeting concentrated on the upcoming political season and elections.
Wednesday and Thursday, October 8th and 9th, 2003 --
Two Annual Candidates' Nights were held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, and before Thursday's Meeting, and our endorsements were
made.
Thursday, November 13th, 2003 --
Strategies for 2004 were discussed.
Thursday, December 11th, 2003 --
Annual December Get-together Meeting and Celebration.
Strategies for 2004 continued to be discussed.
